Flat Blade Screwdriver
Phillips Head Screwdriver
To replace your third brake light bulb or the housing start by removing these little end caps with small flat-bladed screwdriver. Just pop them off. Put them aside somewhere so you don't lose them. They're very small. There are two Phillips head screws behind here. Let's start by removing those. If you can't get them out, that's okay. That is loose now. Take my fingers and pull it out of the spoiler. At the same time, I'm going to flip it like this with both hands. Get the screws out into my hands. Put the screws aside so I don't lose them.
You can see here, this is where your bulb is. Turn it counterclockwise to unlock it. There's a 921 bulb. You need to replace it. You can pull it straight out of the socket. Putting a new one in. It can go in any direction. It's not going to bother it.
Take our new third brake light. Install the bulb and socket or if you're just changing the bulb, you can reuse your old one. Find the right locking tabs. There's a wide one here and a narrow one here, and the corresponding holes on the light assembly. There we go. Now we turn it clockwise. Lock it in.
Find the spot for the wires. Slide it back in to the spoiler. Hold it in place with my fingers. One screw started in there, Phillips head. Just going to go until it feels tight. Place our little triangle trim pieces. The third brake light is replaced.
