How to replace a broken, damaged or burnt out third brake light bulb to the 08 Honda Accord

step 1 :Servicing the Bulbs
- Twist the bulb socket counterclockwise out of the light
- Pull the bulb off of the socket
- Push on the new bulb
- Twist the bulb clockwise into the light

Open up the trunk to replace your third brake light and reach up underneath. It's single socket, the bulb. Turn it counter-clockwise. Slide it out. Pull the bulb right out. This is a 7-440 bulb.
Plug it right back in. Put it into the housing. Turn it clockwise and it will snap into place.
