Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and the next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video we're going to show you how to service the bulbs, as well as replace the entire parking light assembly on this 2004 Jeep Liberty. We show you on the passenger side, but the driver side is the same procedure. The items you'll need include a new parking light from 1AAuto.com and a T15 Torx driver.
To remove your parking light, you just need to remove this T15 torx screw. Now your parking light will pull out. Now to service the bulbs, just pull back on this red tab and pull the harness free. Now you can twist the socket out, and then just pull your bulb free. Push your new bulbs in and twist the socket back in clockwise to lock it. Reconnect your harness and push that red tab back down.
Same thing for this one: pull out the red tab, pull the harness free, and twist the socket out. Just pull out your old bulb and push your new one into place. Then you just reconnect your harness and push down that red tab.
Now, if you're looking to replace the entire assembly, just twist out both sockets.
On the left is the old parking light; on the right is the new one from 1A Auto. You can see they're identical and they're going to fit exactly the same.
Twist your sockets into your new parking light assembly. Then push the inside side of your parking light in first with that tab and then line up the hole. Replace that T15 screw. Once you've tightened that up, you're all set.
