Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.

In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the turn signal and wiper lever on this 2005 Ford F150. It's the same procedure for 2004 to 2005, also similar for '06 to '08, although a couple of the connections are a little bit different. The items you'll need for this is a new turn signal switch from 1AAuto.com, 8mm socket and ratchet, 7/32" socket, pick, flat blade screwdriver, 8mm wrench, two-jaw puller, and a T50 Torx bit.

Loosen up your battery cables with an 8mm socket and ratchet and just pull them free. If it's hard to get it off use a flat blade screwdriver to just separate the clamp a little bit and it should pull free.

Down here, underneath your glove box, pull out on this panel. Then using a flat blade screwdriver, pry down on the tab and pull that panel off. Then use your fuse puller and you may need to pry it out. Then on this row of fuses right here, with the red and the blue, you want to pull out this red 10. It's the third one in on this row just under that relay. That's to disarm your airbag.

Now, just pry out on this little panel here. There's a bolt inside of here that is 8mm. Just go ahead and remove that. Once you've removed that bolt and the one in the same spot on the other side, you can just pull this forward. Pry out on the red safety tab and then reach in behind and push down on the holding tab and pull the harness out. Now using a pick, just pry out the gray clip on this harness. Then pry out on the tab at the top and pull the harness free. Now, carefully set this aside.

Now just remove this 7/32" bolt underneath your steering wheel Push the tab on this harness and disconnect it, and then turn your steering wheel until it clicks. Then remove this T50 bolt. You can see here we have a two-jaw puller clipped in behind on the steering wheel. We're tightening it up pushing against the stud to loosen the steering wheel.

Now, pull down on this lever and then pull down on this panel. You want to push in at the same time, and it'll unclip. Then you just lift it up and out. Then, remove these two 7/32" bolts. We'll fast forward as Mike does that. Now lift this panel up and then pull it off the lever. Now remove this 7/32" bolt right here. Now push this tab and slide the switch up and off, and then push the tab to disconnect this harness and do the same for this one. To remove that last harness, we first have to pry up on this tab and unclip the other end of this harness. Now you can access that last harness, so you just push the tab and disconnect it.

On the left, is the old turn signal switch; on the right, is the new one from 1A Auto. You can see they're identical and they'll fit exactly the same. Using a pick, just pull out the spring of your old switch and then just drop it into your new one. Then, making sure the spring stays in, just slide that switch down into those slots until it's all the way down, and then reconnect those harnesses. Now, replace this 7/32" screw and tighten it up. Now, lift this up and put this panel back down over the turn signal switch, and then line it up. You want to slide it down onto that gasket and then replace those two 7/32" screws. Now take the lower panel, tuck it down in, and then you want to slide it up that gasket. Then clip the clips along the top back into each other and do the same thing on the other side, and then replace that 7/32" screw.

Installing the steering wheel there is a yellow dot on the shaft that should point to the top of your steering wheel. Reconnect this harness and replace this T50 screw.

Make sure your steering wheel is straight and then take your airbag and horn assembly, reconnect this lower harness, and then push that gray clip back in. Then, take this harness and push it back into place and push that red clip in to lock it. Once you get the airbag lined up you can replace the 8mm bolt on either side. We'll fast forward as Mike does that. Once you've replaced the bolts, make sure you've replaced those two covers as well. Now push your fuse back into place, put the fuse panel back on making sure your fuse puller is back in there. Then just put these tabs into those slots and close the panel.

Reconnect your battery cables and tighten up those 8mm bolts. Then just put this cover back down and you're all set.
