Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace a wiper arm on this 2001 Volkswagen Beetle. We show you on the driver side, but the passenger side is the same procedure. The only tools you'll need for this are a 13mm socket and ratchet, and a flat blade screw driver.
Start off by prying off this cap on the end of the wiper arm, and then remove that 13mm nut. Push the wiper arm in and out to break it free from the stud. Then angle it up, and lift it up and off the stud. Now you just want to push the tab on your wiper blade and slide it down, and then pull it off that hook.
Take your new wiper arm, push the wiper blade down onto the hook and then pull it up into place. It will snap when it's there. Then just push it down onto the stud, and line it up where you want it, and then replace that 13mm nut. Now just replace that cap on the end, and you're all set.
