Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace a wiper arm on this 2004 Volkswagen Jetta. We'll show you on the driver's side, but the passenger side is the same procedure. The items you'll need for this include a new wiper arm from 1AAuto.com, a flat blade screwdriver, and a 13mm socket and ratchet.
Start off by prying up this cap and then remove this 13mm nut. Push the wiper arm in and out to loosen it up on the stud. Then angle the wiper arm up and pull it off the stud.
Now to pull off your wiper blade, just push this tab and slide the blade down and off and if this clip falls off just push it back in until it snaps.
In the back is the old wiper arm; up front is the new one from 1A Auto. You can see that they're identical, and they're going to fit exactly the same.
Slide your wiper blade onto your new wiper arm, and then push the wiper arm back onto that stud, angling it where you want it. Then replace that 13mm nut and tighten it up. Then just replace that cap and you're all set.
