New Wiper Blade Refill Insert from 1AAuto.com How to repair, install, fix, change or replace a damaged, bent, or failing windshield wiper blade insert on 09 Toyota Camry.
Hi. I'm Mike from 1AAuto. We've been selling auto parts for over 30 years!
Change the wiper blades on this 2009 Camry. Both sides are the same. We're going to work here on the passenger side. I'm going to pull up on this tab here just with my fingernail. If you can't do it with your finger, with a small flat blade screwdriver, you can pry it open. Sometimes they get stuck. This way, you can lift the blade up and then turn it, and there's another tab under here you have to press. It will unlock it and the wiper will slide right off. Lower this down gently, otherwise it will hit the windshield.
Swap your blade. We've got a factory wiper blade. You can buy a new insert from 1AAuto.com. To change the insert, you have to find the end that's got this wide stop. It looks just like this. Got to get a hold of it, pull it backwards, and slide it all the way out. You need to transfer these pieces of metal over to the new blade.
We install the metal parts of the blade into your new rubber inset. Take that blade, insert the narrow end, slide it in, and you just got to feed it through all the little arms on the wiper blade. As you're getting towards the end, there’s the little part of the rubber where it's going to lock, so we're going to push it up, and it's going to lock those little tabs in there. The blade will stay in place and the new insert is installed.
Take the new blade, hook it through, and push this in to lock it, and the blade is replaced. It's identical for the opposite side.
