How to reset the oil life indicator on 11 Ford Explorer
Hi, I’m Mike from 1A Auto. We’ve been selling auto parts for over 30 years!
What's up, guys? I'm Andy from 1A Auto. Today I'm going to show you how to reset the oil life monitor in this 2011 Ford Explorer. If there's any parts you need for your vehicle, click the link in the description and head over to 1aauto.com.
To reset the oil life monitor, we're going to take the ignition key, stick it in the ignition, and turn it to the on position without starting the vehicle. You're going to watch this part of the screen on the instrument panel, and then we're going to scroll with these arrows.
You're going to go to Settings, and then you're going to click the right arrow. Vehicle Settings, click the right arrow. Then, Vehicle, click the right arrow. Scroll down to Oil Life Reset, right click, and then you can set it to what you want to set it to. We'll set it to 100%, so we'll click OK. We're going to hold it down, and the oil life is reset. We can scroll back to the main menu.
