step 1 :Resetting the Change Oil Light
- Turn the car to the "on" position
- Pump the gas pedal three times within the first five seconds of turning the car on
- Turn the car off
- Turn the car to the "on" position to make sure the light is off

This is just a quick video to show you how to shut off your change-oil-soon light. This is the 2003 GMC Envoy XL. This processes pretty much the same for the Envoy's Trailblazers, Isuzu Ascenders, and Buick Rainiers. Obviously this is for when you want to shut the light off after you have changed the oil.
To reset the light, put the vehicle into the on position. Then just pump the gas pedal three times within five seconds. Then it'll blink off. Turn the vehicle off. Put it back into the on position. You can see the light goes out. You're all set.
