How To Tow Hook 2004-09 Subaru Outback

If you need to have your vehicle towed, there's a towing eye included in the toolkit. You'll need to remove this cover. You can either use a wide flat-based screwdriver or a plastic prying tool. You can get these from 1AAuto.com. Slide it back behind here. Pry the cover off. Put that aside so you don't lose it.

There's a threaded hole that you'll find in here and then get this started. Once it starts to get tight, you can take the lug wrench and just slide it through. And just make sure that it's all the way tight. If it feels good and tight, just stop. Now the tow truck can hook on to here and pull the vehicle on to a flatbed. When you're all done using the towing eye you just loosen it. Just remove it from the vehicle and reinstall your cover. It snaps into place.
