Some vehicle specific parts may require you to check the 8th digit of your VIN to confirm the correct part. This video shows you how.
Brought to you by 1AAuto.com, your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the Internet.
If you're checking out this video, then you've come to a part where we need to know what digit is your VIN digit, which is the digit that specifies what the engine is in your vehicle. You can find your VIN on a sticker on the door in here. As you can see, if we look at the sticker, the eighth digit is a three. You'll also be able to find your VIN number on the lower driver's side corner of the windshield, and again here. You can see that the eighth digit on this truck is a three.
In our example, we'd be checking to see that that eighth digit was an A. If it is an A, then the part would be right for your vehicle. If it's not an A, then the part is not correct for your vehicle. You can also find your VIN number on your registration and your title.
