Normally, you'll find batteries under the hood of your car, but with the new Camaro's all you have under the hood is a spot to jump the battery. You get your positive connector right here. And then if you're jumping it, you can ground it to the block right here maybe. In this case, the battery is actually in the trunk, so we'll show you where to find that next. You can come in here--pop the trunk with the button. And right here, where you least expect it, is where the battery is located. Get your spare tire--normally goes here.

Here's your air compressor if you have a flat tire, and it has some inflatable, or some sealing gel inside it. But under here is your battery. If your battery is dead, and you need to access it, being in the trunk, you need to climb through the back seat. Move your seat forward, and then right here you have a handle, which you can pull down. And then inside there up on your trunk lid, there's a glow in the dark handle, which will pop your trunk right open.

All right, you're going to want to disconnect your negative battery cable first, which has a 10 millimeter right here. Loosening that, we'll get the cable off and move on to the positive. Again, you got a 10 millimeter right here. You can push the positive cable out of the way, because you're going to need to get to a bolt that's right below it. After the battery cables are off, you're going to take out this 13 millimeter, and this 13 millimeter.

The next step is right down here--you'll see one more 13 millimeter. And that holds the battery down to the floor pan of the Camaro. With that out of the way, the last part is to remove the vent hose from the battery, which you can just pop right out the side. And at that point you can pull your battery right out.

Before putting the battery back in the car, you're going to want to move your vent hose out of the way so that you don't pinch it under the battery. Then you'll grab your battery--put the passenger side in first so it hooks on to the bracket on the floor. Make sure the battery cable posts are towards the front of the vehicle, and then you can grab your battery hold down, and put it right into place on the floor pan. And you can put your upper bracket on--tighten all those down.

You can feed your vent hose under this bracket. Make sure it's not pinched between the bracket, and the battery. And plug it right into the side. Next we'll do the battery cables. Do the positive one first. Make sure it's fully seated. Add the negative one. Make sure that it's fully seated. And then you can tighten down the two 10 millimeter nuts. Make sure the positive battery cable is protected with its cap. You can reinstall your battery cover, and the air compressor.

Slide the cover down. Reinstall your spare tire cover, which is not really a spare tire cover. And put the carpet back into place, and you're done.
