On this Honda Pilot, this is the high beam bulb, the low beam bulb, you've got a side marker bulb, our turn signal bulb, and this is sort of a running parking light that's on with the head lamps.
To remove the high beam bulb, push in on this connector to unlock the clip. Pull it down. There's an arrow showing direction. I'm going to turn it counterclockwise. That will unlock it. Pull it out.
This is a 9005 bulb. This one's fine, so I'm going to put it back in. Try not to touch the bulb part with bare fingers. Put it back in. Now line up the tabs. There's an arrow, showing the direction you need to turn. You go clockwise. That will lock in. Reconnect the connector.
Turn signal bulb is at the top, here. Turn it counterclockwise. One click. This one looks like it's in all right shape. If you wanted to change it, push it in, turn to unlock it. This bulb is a PY21W. It's an amber bulb for this vehicle. To install it, you're going to line up these tabs. Goes in one way. Give it a push and a turn, lock it in. Typically don't need to disconnect it from here. Leave the socket on there connected it to the connector. Place it back in. Turn it clockwise. That will lock in, and that's all set.
Remove this parking light bulb, turn counterclockwise. To remove it, just pull it straight out. It's a 194 bulb. It can be installed in either direction. Just slides right in. Place it back into the housing. Turn it clockwise to lock it. This connector's kind of grimy. I'm going to use some electrical contact cleaner, just to clean it up first. Now, I've cleaned off all the dirty and grime, and I can see how this is locked in here. I can push on this blue tab, push it in and unlock it.
If your fingers aren't strong enough, you could also use a flat bladed screwdriver to help push the lock in. Okay, move that out of the way. Now I can turn the bulb socket counterclockwise, wiggle it out of the headlight housing. This bulb, we noticed, was actually burnt out. This is a 194. I'm going to replace it with a new one. Push it back into the socket, put the socket back into the headlight housing. Kind of find where the slots are by just turning it as you put it in. Then, it needs to be turned counterclockwise to lock it in. It doesn't take much effort. That's locked in.
Now, I will plug the connector back in, and that bulb was replaced. Change the low beam bulb, you can push down this tab to unlock it, push the connector down. Sometimes you might have to use two hands. If it's really tough, then put the flat bladed screwdriver in there to sort of lift up the lock. Push down the connector. Turn the bulb counterclockwise. Remove it.
What I'm trying to do is line up these ears into the headlight housing. It's got a wide one here, two narrow ones here. It's like a wide slot. It's towards the inside of the car, so I'm going to start it this way. Turn it clockwise. That locks it in. Reconnect the connector. Pull it up until it locks. The bulb was replaced.
