How to Replace Grille 2002-04 Jeep Liberty

step 1 :Removing the Grille
- Pull up on the four T20 Torx bolts on the grille by hand
- Pull the grille up and out
- Pry back on the tabs to remove the center part of your grille

step 2 :Installing the New Grille
- Line up the lower four tabs with the four holes near the bumper
- Tilt the grille in and lean it back
- Push in the sides over the lights
- Replace the four T20 Torx bolts

In this video, we're going to show you how to replace a grille on this 2004 Jeep Liberty. It's the same part and similar process on these Jeeps from 2002 to 2004. The items you'll need for this include a new grille from 1AAuto.com, a T20 Torx driver, and a flat blade screwdriver.
Along the top of your grille, you'll see these four T20 Torx bolts. Just go ahead and remove those. Then pull your grille forward, and then up and off. Now, using a flat blade screwdriver, pry back near each of these tabs so you can pull the center part out of your grille. Once you've done that to each tab, it pulls up and off.
Up top is the old grille and below it are two grilles from 1AAuto.com. We have a chrome grille and then a paint to match grille. The paint to match grill, you can take your vehicle to an auto parts store with a paint department, and get an air-charged spray can of the paint that matches your vehicle, and paint the grille to match.
Push this center part of your grille into your new grille. The line up these four tabs with these four slots and just hook those in. Then push your grill back into place, and push in the sides over the lights. We'll just fast-forward as Don replaces those four T20 bolts. Once you've done that, you're all set.
