In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the parking brake release handle on this 1996 Chevy Tahoe. It's the same part and process on this Tahoes from 1995 to 2000. The only tool you'll need for this is a flat blade screwdriver.
To remove the handle, you just want to push in the tab on this side, the tab on this side, and pull it free. Just push it in, pull that side out, and do the same thing on the other side, and you may have to go back and forth a couple of times and then it will pop free.
On the left is the old parking brake release handle; on the right is the new one from 1A Auto. You can see they're identical, and they're going to fit exactly the same.
Take the new handle and just push it into place. You're all set.
